The Blessing Empowerment of Buddha Vajrapani

An empowerment is a special blessing of Buddha's body, speech, and mind that ripens our own Buddha potential. Through receiving an empowerment, we also make a special connection with that particular Buddha and come under their care.  It is important to remember that Buddhas are persons and not just imagination.  Through developing universal love, compassion, and wisdom realizing selflessness, these beings progressed through the various spiritual grounds and paths to the exalted state of enlightenment.  Because Buddhas are completely pure, we cannot perceive them directly, but must use our faith and wisdom to connect with them.  During an empowerment we use our faith to receive the special blessings of Buddha upon our mental continuum.

Buddha Vajrapani is the embodiment of the power of all the Buddhas.  The main function of Buddha Vajrapani is to bless our mind to remove inner and outer obstacles.  Inner obstacles include anger, attachment, and other strong delusions.  Outer obstacles include lack of resources, ill health, difficult circumstances, and not having the other basic conditions for spiritual development.  Because we encounter many obstacles to our spiritual development in these modern times, we must develop special methods to oppose these obstructions, such as cultivating our wisdom, compassion, and spiritual power. By relying upon Buddha Vajrapani, we have an opportunity to receive the special blessings to oppose obstacles and hindrances to our inner spiritual development.  Please join us for this very special event.

Everyone is welcome! Cost: $60; $30 for supporting members (lunch and Dharma gift included).  Registrations due by Wednesday, May 12.   Please contact Akanishta Buddhist Center at 608-661-3211 or This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it for registration information.
